Flight maps 911

So how many maps were there, and what do we really know about them?

The official story, (and you can see below, there is more than one) we will call the public maps. From USA today, and other media outlets. Since "flight explorer" was named in the 911comission reports, we can also conclude those are official.

This is where the confusion lies. At least from my viewpoint. I do not know enough about the company, or how it recieves its data to make a conclusion, but it seems they recieve their info from ground tracking stations, radar, ATC....

Thus, since it seems to this reader, anyone can download this software (there may be some stipulations about being a pilot, or invloved with ATC etc..), it seems there may have been many people with access to this information at the time. It would be nice to know if this info can be recorded, or is "cached" somehow by flight explorer? Or even by an individual?

Is this where the other maps might have come from ? Such as the irvingshapiro maps below?

How many people have these on their hard drives?

If this data is made public, we can decide for ourselves if the maps were "put together" accurately. Since the transponders were off, it seems that the official versions were patchworked together with radar data, and some amout of guesswork. So can we rely on the guesswork of these people?

If 2 planes crossed paths without the transponders on, then they would have to rely on radar data. The problem here, is radar does not give the altitude, so hoe do we know they tracked the correct plane?

911 comission now says that the reason flight 77 dissapeared from radar was a sotware anomaly. But there was also another technical error " The pilot was in contact with the air traffic control, and presumably hijackers bursting into the cockpit and manually killing both pilots or wresting control, would take enough time for an experienced, a former Navy Captain, and Top Gun and Vietnam veteran fighter pilot, to shout some kind of alarm. But the controller says, we were talking to him and all of a sudden it just [went silent]."  ( 8.56 - 8.58 )
So first a technical error knocks out the radio? And then a software anomaly make it dissapear from radar?

As it flew toward Manhattan, United 175 turned to the left and began descending. One controller reported to investigators that he realized the
plane had turned head-on toward a Delta aircraft. The Delta plane began a
turn, but the other aircraft also turned, and their radar targets merged on
the screen, sources said. However, the hijacked plane leveled off for a
moment, perhaps to avoid the Delta aircraft, then began its descent again.

United Flight 175 flew within about 200 feet of Delta Flight 2315, bound from Bradley to Tampa, Fla., as a controller frantically tried to tell the Delta
pilot to take evasive action, said air traffic controllers Curt Applegate and Dave Bottiglia of the New York En Route Center in Islip, N.Y.
Applegate said he listened in disbelief as the controller next to him tried to prevent a crash. "God, I heard stuff from him (the other controller) I
didn't think I'd ever hear in my career, ever,"Agate told Dateline.

9:30 a.m. Flight controllers mistakenly suspect that Delta Flight 1989, flying west over Pennsylvania, has been hijacked. The controllers briefly suspect the sound of hijackers' voices in Flight 93 is coming from this plane, only a few miles away

Also dont forget Flight 11 and 175 had the same ETA. easy enough to confuse a controller?

Note that the altitudes of Flight 175 and Flight 93 are different at the point they meet.
And even though flight 93 that filed a new flight plan,
The ETA does NOT show up on flight explorer until it is well south east of Pitt.
(even though the transcripts say it was about 20 minuits earlier)!

Can you find the real map?

The Official Truth in Three Versions

(good job, but there were more than 3 maps. I am listing other below)

Flight explorer maps... (these first 2 maps, are some of the first to come out. thus can provide us with more information as to what really happened.

caapilots.com/News/TradeCenterPaths.htm Came out Sept 11th

As far as I can tell, this is the "official" version of the maps....

I found another set of maps, i had emailed the owner of the site,

note: flight 77 shows a different path here than on other maps

From the 911-commission report

9/11 neads flight paths

9/11 faa flight paths

Now look at the little blip in the Flight 77 path. It's not just on a
border, its on the apex of three ATC sectors - Cleveland, Indianopolis and
whatever the Washington one is.
Look at the big AVI of Flight 175 - it does a little dance on the border
between Boston and New York centers.
